There were few delicate heads around the studio last Friday but feelings of achievement and joy drowned them out. So after a long weekend of recovery are finally able to look back on the winners of the night. IFTA’s were awarded to 3 productions that we had the pleasure of working on and we are so happy for everyone involved.
50 Ways to kill your Mammy won for Best Entertainment. Barry Egan and Baz Ashmawy gave a lovely speech, sadly without Nancy (who is in the Canaries on her holliers) were presented the award by Eggs good friend Andy Quirk (Damo & Ivor). After being nominated time after time, Gillian Marsh, Craig Spears and Paula Rouse for Gillian Marsh TV Productions finally picked up the award for best Children’s Entertainment for their series Our Farm. Red Rock won for best Soap with Lisa Mulcahy winning for Best Director of a Soap or Comedy. Lisa is a good friend of Egg’s so we are thrilled for her and everyone involved in Red Rock.
Commiserations to all our other nominees. Hopefully the Mac goodie bag(which all the ladie Eggheads were very excited about) and the lovely IFTA spread made up for it in a small way.
You can catch all the speeches, glitz and glamour on the TV 3 Player.
