Lorcan Finnegans horror thriller Without Name is quickly gathering a lot of positive attention. It will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this week followed by a screening in the London Film Festival in October. Berlin based M-Appeal has acquired the world sales rights so chances are that it will hit a cinema near you soon. A blend of psychological horror and supernatural thriller, the anticipation is building for this dark brooding film. Here are a few things that have been said about it already
“Through its carefully-constructed cinematography and sound, ‘Without Name’s’ outstanding element is not only the suspenseful spiral that the main character takes, but how nature, in all its creepiness, becomes a protagonist in its own right,” Maren Kroymann, CEO of M-Appael.
“Shot with an uncanny eye for the fantastic, and boasting a truly ominous sound design, this sensory experience upholds the long tradition of the rural gothic, transforming the natural environment into a portentous landscape which is at once hypnotic, terrifying and, ultimately, somewhat trippy.” Michael Blyth
Our award winning sound team, Aza Hand, Patrick Drummond, Colm Mullally, Katie O’Mahony and Colm Finnegan created and mixed all of the sound.
