Its been a great year with the Euros and the Olympics and all the amazing 1916 events, and also a great year for Egg! We have had lots of brilliant projects through our door this year and with the recent announcement of the IFTA Gala Television Award nominations we are thrilled to have been involved in six of the nominated programmes.
Dhru Banerjee and his production company Strike Films has received 2 nominations, “Children of the Revolution” in the Single Documentary category and “Road to Rio” for best sports programming. Animo’s “Irelands Great Wealth Divide” received 2 nominations, also in the single documentary category and Gerry Hoban for best director. Our senior editor Guy Montgomery edited all of these and the rest of the post was also completed here at egg. “50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy” has been nominated again for best entertainment after winning it last year. Malcolm Moloney was one of the editors for the series. GMarsh TV’s series “Out and About” has been nominated in the children’s category. Darragh Byrne received a best directing nomination for his documentary “My Homeless Family”.
Congratulations to everyone involved, all well deserved. It was a pleasure to have worked on all these great shows. We’ll be rooting for them on the 7 th of October. We think they should all win but then we’re biased!
