In fact our building is part of the longest stretch of Georgian domestic architecture in the world. Our editors are practically glowing from all the natural light streaming in from our beautiful Georgian windows. While we can’t always guarantee the  appearance of elusive Irish sun, we can however guarantee a comfortable bright experience in our lovely sky rooms. Each room is equipped with dual boot Avid or FCP system  which can be used with local or connected to central storage to suit every project.

Our online finishing suite operates through the latest Mac Pro, running Resolution Independent Avid Symphony MC 8 software with Boris FX together with DaVinci Resolve 12 Studio. It is connected to ISIS central storage which allows the sharing of media across all Avid stations. Our Isilon server allows instant access to media from Grade, Studio, VFX etc. With HD and 4K UHD monitoring, Online boasts the ‘Best Room in House!’ and is a very comfortable environment in which to finish your project.

Our Nucoda Film-master grading suite can handle the most complex of grading project. Whether the rushes are 4k, 2k, HD or SD, the Film-master with it’s array of add-ons or ‘DVOs’ can bring the best end result to every project including restoration of archive. The room is equipped with a Cinetal 42-inch monitor and projection with a 3m screen.

As part of our media management service we can ingest and transcode your rushes to all formats, make them available to all production members for daily viewing via Eggstream or FTP upload. We can also deliver and receive larger files with our Aspera Connect server, ideal for delivery of final masters to broadcasters, and with our new Vidcheck QC software we can produce AQC and Photo Sensitive Epilepsy certificates to ensure your master files are compliant to current broadcast standards. We can also provide master files in a wide range of formats suitable for web streaming and upload.  

We produce fully DCI compliant Digital Cinema Print Packages and we can deliver them to your distributor or directly to cinemas. We can create a DCP from practically any format and have extensive experience handling features from rushes to print.

Sound Facilities

Studio 1 is the heart of our facility, boasting Ireland’s only world class Neve DFC film console, which is the standard among the world’s premier facilities including Warner Brothers, Disney, Fox, and Skywalker Sound. Every year it dominates the Academy Awards and has been used to produce the sound for Oscar-winners such as Gravity, 12 Years a Slave and Frozen. It only makes sense then that we mix on the same. It sits in a 7.1  sound mixing stage with a Dolby processed JBL monitoring system and TC electronic reverbs.

Studio 2 utilizes a 5.1 quested monitoring system and is ideal for television and ADR sessions as well as sound design and full feature edits. Both of our studios are based on Pro Tools HDX 10 systems. Our audio editing rooms have 5.1 Genelec monitoring using the latest in Pro Tools HD technology.

Some notable credits include IFTA winner for best documentary Simshar, 2015 Oscar shortlisted for Best foreign film, The Canal directed by Ivan Kavanagh and Legend of Longwood produced by grand films.

VFX Facilities

Egg VFX facilitates 40 VFX artists and animators with the capacity to double this when necessary. Our team is made up of highly creative VFX artists who are constantly evolving and learning new technology. The team is led by Liam Neville (Iron Man 2, Sinbad) and Emma Rooney (Ghosthunters, Doc McStuffins).

We design our teams around the work our clients need. From CG character and environment work, matte painting and FX simulations (fire, water, smoke) to motion graphics, we deliver high quality work to all our clients.

We bring the same passion and enthusiasm to all our projects. From simple clean-up jobs to larger projects requiring digital environments and creatures we deliver the highest standards that our clients expect.
